The Iowa Cutting Horse Association was founded in 1984. The mission of ICHA is to promote the sport of cutting in Iowa while, at the same time, staying focused on the needs of its membership.
The Iowa Cutting Horse Association is the state affiliate for the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA). Iowa is part of NCHA Region 3 (comprised of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri and Illinois). Iowa is located in NCHA Area 12 (Iowa, Wisconsin and northern Illinois).
